Job title: Social Secretary (Voluntary)
THIS POSITION IS CURRENTLY FILLED
Accountable to: Club Committee
Additional requirements: DBS Check through TMBSC
Responsible for: Organising and publicising social activities
Skills required: Organisation and communication. Friendly, approachable and extremely enthusiastic about social events
Time commitment: Minimum 2 hours per week + attendance at meetings.
Main Duties:
- Arrange the Annual Presentation Evening including date, venue and entertainment.
- Arrange social activities throughout the year as appropriate for the whole Club membership.
- Liaise with the Committee regarding any social events organised.
- Publicise all social events.
- Prepare and sell tickets for social events as needed.
- Organise raffles and similar fund-raising activities at social events as appropriate.
- Liaise with the Club Treasurer as appropriate when organising social events to ensure payment of expenses and collection of ticket fees.
- Ensuring that the Club achieves and maintains the standards required for Swim Mark accreditation.
- Following and promoting the Club’s Codes of Conduct.
- Following and promoting the SE Safeguarding Policy and Code of Ethics.
- Following and promoting the SE Photo Policy.
- Attending a minimum of 50% of Committee meetings per year.
- Attending at least one Personal Development Review every year with either the Club Chairman or Secretary.
