Squads 5 and 6 followed a 8oom Reverse IM warm up with a game of water polo as a treat for easter. Two teams were carefully selected to give an even match over the 4 7 minute quarters.
It was SKINS v BANDANAS and don't the bandana team look really cool! Their coolness took them into a first quarter lead of 2 goals to 1 as they attacked the deep end.
BANDANA TEAM
In the second quarter the more experienced skins team started to assert their authority and quickly evened the game up before pushing ahead 3-2.
SKINS TEAM
The third quarter saw a deterioration in discipline from both sides as the referee struggled to maintain order. The Skins team took advantage of some disorganised defending by the Bandanas and the third quarter saw them increase the lead to 4-3. In the final quarter Bandanas lost the plot and completely forgot to defend allowing Skins to forge ahead to give them a 6-3 lead with 1 minute left to play. Despite the referee's best efforts to cheat and bring about a draw by awarding a dubious penalty and making some even more dubious calls, the Bandanas could only manage a consolation goal to give a final score of 6-4. Happy Easter everyone!
