Five Trafford Masters swimmers went to Scarborough to compete in the Yorkshire Masters Competition.
The pool in Scarborough is not the fastest racing pool in the country with the water temperature being a little too warm at about 90 degrees. Still Trafford Masters' swimmers proved their worth once again. A good level of competition was there and Trafford returned with a fair few medals. Not only medals were collected though as Rachel Barton broke 3 British Records and was only 0.06 sec off a fourth.
Results and Medals as follows, Trafford Swimmers only:
Neville Barton:
50 Breaststroke Gold
100 Freestyle Gold

The Star of the event has to go down to another Trafford swimmer who often gets overlooked because of the upcoming youngsters but is always there to turn in a mind blowing performance to encourage her team-mates. This is Rachel Barton.
She trains as hard as any of the youngsters and is an inspiration to any young swimmer to show what determination can do at any age.

Following on in the Trafford Masters' Tradition a trip to an Indian was held on the way back across the Pennines. This was a great trip all round and bodes well for further events in the year.
